Professor Judy Beebe, Department of business studies and economics of Western Oregon University, was invited to come to China and giving a great lecture for students of the School of Management on December 18, 2013. Professor Beebe has more than 30 years of experience of
practicing and teaching in the field of accounting and finance. The content of her speech mainly consists of two major areas: the survey of business studies and economics education at Western Oregon University and introduction of principles of accounting registration and standards of international financial reports. The clear English articulation and the way of interaction of Professor Beebe attract students from the very beginning. Many students were rushing to speak and ask questions after the lecture. The atmosphere of the entire lecture was very active.
The Profile of Judy Beebe
Judy Beebe has over 30 years of experience in the fields of Accounting and Finance, encompassing positions in the construction industry, financial institutions and higher education. Prior to teaching at WOU, Judy taught accounting and various software package programs at Chemeketa Community College. Judy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from University of Oregon and her MBA from Portland State University. At WOU, Judy teaches Fundamentals of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting.
