During the annual F1 Chinese Grand Prix from April 10 to 12, 2015, the SOM selects 26 students as volunteers to participate in the event at Shanghai Circuit Station, Baiyin Road Station and Jiading Xincheng Station of Shanghai Metro Line 11 like previous years of volunteer organization work. The students devote themselves to volunteer work at each service station. They constantly guide, remind and answer spectators’ questions and try to service at their best. They also use their specialty of fluent oral English to do the work of guidance for a large number of foreign spectators.
Through the activities as volunteers, the students were improving the ability to communicate and problem-solving skills while helping the spectators and carry forward the spirit of the dedication of volunteers.
